Lanzarote is one of the seven islands which emerge from the Atlantic Ocean to form the ‘Archipielago Canario’, and for its particular characteristics it becomes the most peculiar island. Lanzarote was declared biosphere reserve by the Unesco in 1993. Volcanic landscapes which will give the impression that they mix with exuberant vegetation.
The long awaited Lanzarote Golf Resort, just outside Puerto del Carmen. The eighteen hole, 72 par course is 6,133 metres long and was designed by the well-known American golf course designer, Ron Kirby.
Its location on the hills overlooking Puerto del Carmen gives it the incredible backdrop of the Atlantic ocean and the course itself is planted with numerous mature palm trees and other indigenous plants. Mindful of the environmental impact, the course has been sympathetically laid out to minimise its impact upon the surrounding countryside and incorporates an irrigation system that uses recycled water.

Lanzarote Golf is a new golf course on the island of Lanzarote, situated between Puerto del Carmen and Tias, 5 minutes from the main hotels and beaches of Puerto del Carmen. It is an 18-hole, par 72 course with four par 3’s, four par 5’s and ten par 4’s, with a total of 6.133 m. length. This golf course is located at the foot of an old volcano, and it’s got stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The Course has a route of 18 holes designed by the british John Harris and built in 1978. During 2007 and at the beginning of 2008 the original layout and the old tees which weren’t being used were retrieved.
