Prime Minister And Presidents At Cabildo
Prime Minisiter Pedro Sanchez met with President of The Canaries, Angel Victor Torres and President of The Cabildo, Dolores Corujo, at The Cabildo this week. Sanchez is on the island on holiday, but took time to meet local politicians to discuss the recovery from the Covid pandemic and to confirm central government’s commitment to the islands.
New Car Park Open In Puerto del Carmen
The car park at the Soco shopping centre in Puerto del Carmen, opposite Suite Hotel Fariones, is open, with space of up to 346 vehicles. It is open 24 hours a day.
1000 Geraniums Planted In Arrecife
One thousand geraniums have been planted at the roadside on one of the main roads into Arrecife, Calle Leon y Castillo.
Fire In Costa Teguise Hotel
The Albatross Hotel in Costa Teguise had to be evacuated this week when a fire broke out in the basement, where the gym and spa are located. All guests were moved out of the hotel, while firefighters brought the blaze under control. Other areas were not damaged, and guests were able to return to their rooms.
Restaurant Re-Opens At Bodega Stratvs
The restaurant at Bodega Stratvs in La Geria has reopened. El Aljibe de Osisbo is open every day, except Tuesday, from 1200 until 2000, and features locally grown and produced food, mainly from Finca de Uga.
